Primary 4 Mrs Cunningham (mobile)
We are happy back at school and settling into new routines. It’s great to see our friends and play together outside.
P4 are using capital letters for names and places in their writing and have been investigating length. They have enjoyed using rulers to measure in centimetres.
Our topic for this term is ‘School is Cool’. The children enjoyed painting themselves in their uniform and are looking forward to learning more about Ampertaine.
We interviewed Sarah, our caretaker, to find out more about her job and all the things she does around school.
On Tuesday 8th October, P4 had a new teacher for the day! Miss Anderson from ‘Time Steps Education’ visited as part of our School is Cool topic. The children dressed up and got to experience typical lessons at school from days gone by including the three Rs Reading, WRiting and ARithmetic. In addition to the three Rs the children did some geography, vocal gymnastics and physical drill! The pupils wrote on slate which could be wiped clean and made simple candles. We finished our day with some playground games and toys from the past.
